Course Overview

The SMSTS Day Release Course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – is a comprehensive five-day programme delivered over multiple weeks rather than consecutive days. This flexible format allows delegates to combine training with work commitments while gaining a deep understanding of effective site management, health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.

This course equips site managers, supervisors, and construction professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to lead by example, manage risks, and ensure legal compliance on construction projects. Through a combination of classroom-based learning, practical exercises, and real-world examples, delegates will develop the confidence to implement safe systems of work, manage teams, and maintain high safety standards across sites.

Successful completion of the course culminates in the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate, recognised by BuildUK and aligned with the Site Safety Plus framework.
