Course Overview

The City & Guilds Level 2 Working in Medium Risk, Entrant & Entry Controller Confined Spaces (6160-09) is a comprehensive practical training course designed for individuals who work in or oversee work within medium risk confined spaces. These environments typically involve vertical entry or more complex access arrangements, where potential hazards such as reduced oxygen levels or the presence of gases may exist.

Delivered by experienced, City & Guilds-approved instructors, the course combines classroom learning with hands-on exercises to provide delegates with the skills, confidence, and competence to work safely and effectively. Training is conducted at our purpose-built confined space facility in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, allowing delegates to experience realistic entry, exit, and emergency scenarios in a controlled environment.

Throughout the course, participants develop a clear understanding of the legal, practical, and procedural requirements of medium risk confined space work.

This nationally recognised qualification aligns with City & Guilds and National Occupational Standards, ensuring that delegates are fully equipped to carry out their duties safely, confidently, and in full compliance with current regulations.
