The CABWI NCO2 Water Conversion course is designed for operatives already qualified in Gas Service Layer or Gas Main Layer who wish to transition into the water utility sector. This streamlined qualification recognises existing skills and focuses on water-specific requirements, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Delegates will gain practical experience in water service and main installation, disinfection, testing, and maintenance, while learning the standards and processes unique to water network operations. On successful completion, learners receive CABWI certification and become eligible for EUSR NCO2 Water Service or Main Layer registration, enabling work on live water networks.

To be eligible for this conversion course, candidates must hold valid Gas Service Layer and/or Gas Main Layer certificates. Please note: original certificates issued by the awarding body must be provided for verification prior to enrolment.
In addition, learners are required to submit evidence of relevant workplace activity. This means candidates must currently be employed in the water industry and regularly engaged in service and/or main laying operations to support the assessment process.
