The City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (NCO1) – Gas Assistant provides entry-level training for individuals beginning their career in gas network construction. This practical, foundation-level qualification introduces delegates to the core skills, safety procedures and operational knowledge required to support pipelaying and excavation activities on gas networks.
Across five days, learners develop safe working behaviours, gain hands-on experience with tools and materials, and understand how to work effectively alongside experienced operatives on live utility sites. The qualification is recognised by the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) and forms the essential first step toward further NCO Gas pathways.
