The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Network Construction Operations (NCO2) – Gas Service Layer develops the technical skills and safety competencies required to install, maintain and commission gas service pipes that connect the main gas network to domestic and small commercial properties.
Building on the foundation knowledge gained at NCO1, this qualification prepares operatives to carry out service-laying activities safely, efficiently and in line with current industry standards. Delegates gain hands-on experience in excavation, jointing, pressure testing and service commissioning, while also learning how to interpret technical documentation and maintain compliance on live utility sites.
This Level 2 qualification is recognised by the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) and forms a key step in progressing within the gas network construction and maintenance sector.
