Course Overview

The EUSR SCO Full Renewal Course provides a complete one-day refresher for all five Safe Control of Operations modules: SCO Core (Modules 1 & 2), Permit to Work, Non-Routine Operations (Module 3), Routine Operations (Module 4) and Form of Authority (Module 5). Designed for Authorising Engineers and Competent Persons at supervisory level, this renewal ensures delegates maintain competence and continue to meet the safety and procedural requirements for working on gas distribution networks.

The course revisits the core roles, responsibilities and practical processes required for safe control of both routine and non-routine gas operations. It also reinforces key elements of the SCO framework, including risk-based decision making, permit controls, communication pathways and procedural compliance. All content aligns with IGEM/GL/6 Edition 3, which underpins the entire SCO scheme.

Delegates must hold current or recently expired SCO certifications and valid SHEA Gas to attend this renewal.
