You must provide evidence of current or recently expired EUSR SCO 1, 2 & 5 certification

This course provides a competency refresh across all relevant SCO modules:

Module 1 – SCO Core Refresher

Purpose and scope of the SCO scheme
Latest legislation and responsibility updates
Hierarchy of documents and operational assurance
Risk control when working on gas network assets

Module 2 – Permit to Work (Routine & Non-Routine)

Permit issue, receipt and hand-back procedures
Control of operations within hazardous gas zones
Setting safe conditions for network works
Site documentation, communication and verification
Updates to permit compliance and record-keeping requirements

Module 5 – Form of Authority

Identification of high-risk gas operations requiring special control
Limits of authority and interface with routine permit systems
Supervisor accountability and emergency response requirements
New guidance on lock-off, isolation, and reinstatement controls

Delivery Format: Instructor-led in-person training
Prerequisites: Delegates must already hold valid (or recently expired) SCO certification and be actively engaged in gas network operations where SCO responsibilities apply. Proof of previous EUSR registration is required.
