Course Overview
This course is broken down and designed for candidates based on experience levels.
Those candidates possessing little to no experience of welding Polyethylene Pipe by the means of Butt Fusion welding processes should select the 2-day course.
Experienced Butt Fusion Welders seeking certification, or a refresher authorisation should select the 1-day course.
This training course has been mapped to CABWI MUNC10 (NCO water) and City and Guilds 6028-21 Unit 211 (NCO Gas) and EUS MUNC17 Joint Materials by Butt Fusion processes.
Course content:

Understand the principles of Polyethylene (PE) Jointing (Butt Fusion Welding)

Identify pipe and fittings and understand markings

Carry out Risk Assessments

Carry out pre-jointing checks

Make satisfactory joints to meet industry specifications

Inspect for and identify acceptable quality joints
Assessment
A variety of activities, oral, multiple choice, and written questions plus onsite assessment.
Certificates
Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessment, the results will be submitted to the awarding body and cards will be issued to the delegate in due course.
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years from the date of training. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the assessment before the expiry date on your card.
