Our National Water Hygiene training (EUSR Blue Card) is now delivered 100% online. This water hygiene training course covers all required topics for anyone working on potable water systems (treatment plants, reservoirs, mains, etc.). The NWH course teaches the importance of water hygiene, contamination prevention, and legal compliance for the water industry. Delivered as an online water hygiene training program, delegates can complete the course at their own pace on any device. There is no need to travel or attend a classroom β you simply log into our eLearning portal anytime that suits you. Our NWH eLearning is fully interactive and takes roughly 2β3 hours (half-day) to complete, including an online assessment.
Any operative, engineer, contractor or manager involved in restricted operations on the clean water network must hold a valid National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) certificate. This includes work on service reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment works, mains and pipes. In practice, anyone entering clean water sites (even on behalf of subcontractors or self-lay organisations) needs NWH training. Our NWH online course is ideal for professionals at all levels who need to get or renew their EUSR Blue Card without interrupting work schedules.
Our online water hygiene training offers maximum flexibility and efficiency compared to classroom courses. Key advantages include:
The course content and delivery specification has been developed through consultation with the water industry.
The course will be delivered through the context of the potable water industry.
An online health screening question must be completed by all individuals at the start of the eLearning training. In this questionnaire, individuals must declare whether they have, or have had in the preceding 12 months, any of these illnesses:
If the individual has, or has had, any of these illnesses, then medical clearance must be obtained before any training can commence.
Each module includes a short multiple-choice quiz. Delegates must pass a 25-question online assessment at the end to qualify for the EUSR registration.
Upon successful completion and online assessment, you will earn the EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card), valid for three years. We handle submission of results to the awarding body (EUSR) and your virtual Blue Card will be delivered digitally.
To stay certified, simply retake the online course before your card expires.
There are no formal entry requirements however a basic level of written and spoken English is required. Please note that a trainer may call or email prior to training to assess suitability for eLearning.
