Our EUSR SCO NRO training (previously known as SCO4) provides essential instruction for professionals tasked with planning, supervising, or authorising non-routine operations on gas distribution networks. This one and a half day course is ideal for those who need targeted knowledge and certification in the Non-Routine Operations (NRO) module only.
The course is designed for:
Key learning objectives include:
The course heavily uses the IGEM/GL/6 Edition 3 which was introduced into SCO to increase the emphasis on risk-based management of gas safety systems and gives gas distribution companies the flexibility to develop their own gas safety procedures based on meeting the common requirements of GL/6.
The SCO scheme is based around the requirements for meeting GL/6 compliance.
Assessment is completed through a short multiple-choice quiz and review of case-study scenarios related to non-routine operations.
Upon succesful completion delegates will receive a SCO NRO (SCO4) certificate, valid for five years, and be eligible for EUSR NRO registration.
Note: In order for your SCO to be used, your SHEA Gas & SCO (Safe Control of Operations) Modules 1, 2 & 5: Core, Permit to Work and Form of Authority must remain in date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does the SCO NRO (formerly SCO4) course cover?
