Course details
The EUSR Category 3 Install, Inspect and Remove Timber Shoring, Category 4 Install, Inspect and Remove Proprietary Shoring Systems course we offer via a partner company across the UK.
This is a 2-day course for a max of 8 delegates and has ‘Live Dig’ integrated and conducted as part of the training and assessments as the use of a pre-prepared concrete lined pit is not permitted under the scheme rules.
This course is mapped to both the EUSR and National Occupational Standards.
Course Overview
Delegates will become familiarised with the necessity for identifying various ground conditions and will come to understand a variety of methods for utilising the appropriate ground retention system(s).
This course also includes practical training and assessments while installing ground support systems in a live dig environment with a specific temporary works design.
This course will benefit working professionals who use hand tools/hand-held power tools to carry out work which involves excavating and/or maintenance of holes/trenches. It will also benefit persons who oversee workers involved in this line of work.
Assessment
A variety of activities, oral, multiple choice, and written questions plus onsite assessment.
Please note this course requires delegates to physically dig a small excavation.
Certificates
Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessment, the results will be submitted to the awarding body and cards will be issued to the delegate in due course.
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years from the date of training. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the assessment before the expiry date on your card.
Pre-Requisites:
There are no formal entry requirements however a basic level of written and spoken English is required.
