Training Spotlight: City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition

Here, we look in a little more detail at one of its qualifications, the City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations.

What is City and Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition?

This course brings candidates up to date with the most recent industry regulations on wiring and using and operating electrical equipment and systems safely. It covers the 18th edition of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Wiring Regulations, as recognised by the British Standards Institute, and its amendment 2 of April 2022. (All working electricians must comply with these regulations, and all installations have been designed in line with them since the start of 2019.)

Completing the exam successfully at the end of the course means you leave with the internationally recognised City & Guilds Certificate in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

And what does the course cover?

City & Guilds designs the course syllabus for this training, which is theory-based and lasts a fairly intensive three days in a classroom setting.

There are two days of teaching, half a day of learning covering the 18th edition book, plus a final half-day to take the two-hour exam. (Typically there are also assignments to complete overnight between days 1 and 2.)
