The EUSR SHEA Water Conversion Course is a specialised training programme for individuals holding a current SHEA passport who are transitioning into the water sector. This fast-track conversion recognises existing SHEA credentials while focusing on water-specific health, safety, and environmental standards.

This course enables operatives to maintain compliance, gain access to water utility sites, and expand their career mobility.

Who Should Attend The SHEA Water Conversion Course?

This conversion course is designed for:

• Professionals with a valid SHEA passport entering water network operations
• Contractors and operatives cross-skilling to work on water infrastructure
• Existing SHEA Passport holders needing formal recognition for water utility access
• SHEA Conversion is only open to delegates who take the course no more than 2 years from the date of their original SHEA Course.

No need to retake the full SHEA Water course but you must be able to present you existing SHEA Passport certification to qualify.

SHEA Water Conversion Course Content

Assessment & Certification

Participants will complete a multiple-choice assessment. Successful candidates will be registered on the EUSR and awarded the SHEA Water card valid for 3 years. 

To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the SHEA Water course before the expiry date on your card.

The scheme is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) allowing utility workers access to CSCS controlled sites for purposes of utilities work without the need to hold a separate card. The utilities industries share a common goal and commitment to robust mechanisms that enable all workers to demonstrate health and safety awareness and relevant skills and competences.
