NG Person Substations Online Renewal

Course details

This half day online course is designed for individuals seeking to renew their National Grid Person (Substations) authorisation. It provides a comprehensive refresher on substation safety, including the dangers of impressed voltage, in accordance with NSI 30 guidelines.

To be eligible for the NG Person Subs online renewal, each delegate must have a valid, in date NG Person Substation.  With the online renewal, delegates have up to 28 days to complete the course, however this must be completed before the existing NG Person Substation authorisation expires.

If you do not hold an 1-day NG Person authorisation you cannot attend the NG Person Subs Online Renewal.

Course Content

• E-learning modules on substation safety
• Assessment on impressed voltage hazards
• Understanding of National Safety Instruction (NSI) 30
• Requirements for EUSR registration renewal

Who Should Attend

• Individuals with a valid National Grid Person (Substations) authorisation issued since January 2020
• Contractor employees requiring substation access authorisation renewal
• Personnel involved in substation operations and maintenance

Prerequisites

• Valid National Grid Person (Substations) authorisation issued since January 2020
• Completion of general health and safety awareness training (e.g., SHEA Power, CSCS)
• Valid photographic ID

• Delivery: Online e-learning and assessment
• Duration: Approximately 1 hour
• Cost: £550 + VAT
• Availability: 24/7 access upon registration

Please note:

Some administration to complete registration is required by Pragmatic Consulting before you can take this course, our office hours are Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will have their National Grid Person (Substations) authorisation renewed and be re-registered on the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR).
