Course Overview

This course introduces delegates to basic electrical substation equipment such as Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Insulators, Busbars, Earth Switches and Earthing. 

Delegates will become more familiar with how to identify different equipment as well as a high-level overview of what each piece of equipment is used for.

Pragmatic have created this course to help a variety of clients such as office staff, designers and Project Managers to become more familiar with substation assets.

Course Content

• Introduction to Substations including legislation
• Introduction to LV systems
• Introduction to HV systems
• Introduction to different types of substations
• Different equipment

Assessment

A variety of Oral, multiple choice and written questions.

Certificates

An inhouse certificate of attendance will be given

Pre-Requisites

There are no formal entry requirements however a basic level of written and spoken English is required.
