Course Overview

This 2 hour EUSR SCO (Safe Control of Operations) Module 4: Routine Operations (RO) (Was previously SCO5) renewal scheme is designed for all Authorising Engineers and Competent Persons (NROs supervisory level).Please note that in order to do the Renewal / Refresher course delegates must have in date SHEA Gas, GL/6 Update & SCO 1, 2 & 5 or SHEA Gas & EUSR SCO (Safe Control of Operations) Modules 1, 2 & 5: Core, Permit to Work and Form of Authority & EUSR SCO (Safe Control of Operations) Module 4: Routine Operations (RO) (Was previously SCO5)

Course Content

The course content and delivery specifications have been developed through consultation with the gas industry. Training material is produced and managed by EUSR on the industry's behalf.

The course heavily uses the IGEM/GL/6 Edition 3 which was introduced into SCO to increase the emphasis on risk-based management of gas safety systems and gives gas distribution companies the flexibility to develop their own gas safety procedures based on meeting the common requirements of GL/6.

The SCO scheme is based around the requirements for meeting GL/6 compliance.

Assessment

• For CP - Multiple choice questions after each module plus an audit of a Routine Operation
• For AE - Multiple choice questions after each module plus an audit and a write of a Routine Operation

Certificates

Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessments, the results will be submitted to the awarding body and cards will be issued to the delegate in due course.

Certification for this course is valid for 5 years from the date of training. In order for your SCO to be used, your SHEA Gas & SCO (Safe Control of Operations) Modules 1, 2 & 5: Core, Permit to Work and Form of Authority (Was previously SCO1 &2) must remain in date.
