Course Overview
This 1 day course has been designed to provide delegates with a knowledge and understanding of how to safely work at height, use work at height access equipment, safety harnesses and fall protection equipment this courses has been tailored to suit delegates working on construction and utility sites to promote effective control of the risks.

How to undertake a working at height risk assessment

How to use work at height access equipment safely

Determine measures which can be taken to reduce the risk of falls from height

Determine the correct safety harness to use for the required job

How to correctly put on a safety harness

How to use safely use fall arrest and fall restraint protective equipment.

How to inspect work at height access equipment, fall restraint, fall arrest equipment and safety harnesses.

Describe the different methods of collective and protective protection.

Written assessments
Assessment
A variety of oral, multiple choice and written questions plus onsite assessment of inspecting and wearing a harness and using a winch in a variety of situations.
Certificates
Once the delegate has successfully completed the course and assessment, the results will be submitted to the awarding body and cards will be issued to the delegate in due course.
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years from the date of training. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the assessment before the expiry date on your card.
Pre-Requisites:
There are no formal entry requirements however a basic level of written and spoken English is required.
