If you’ve already completed the five-day CITB SMSTS course, but would like to refresh your knowledge, then the CITB SMSTS-R is the course for you. This is perfect for site managers who want to get up to date with the latest legislation and refresh their skills.
In order to take this refresher course, candidates must already have completed the CITB SMSTS course within the last five years and it is still in date.
Our CITB SMSTS-R course covers the following topics:
Legislation, ACOP updates with discussions on impact and practical aspects of compliance
Overview of proposed/impending legislation
RIDDOR - Accident statistics, costs, causes, management responsibilities/methods in prevention
HSE's current focus on construction activities

Behavioural Safety, including awareness of human error, stress and prevention.

Our CIBT SMSTS Day Release course is a part-time training programme that offers a flexible learning route for site managers, supervisors and people in leadership roles in the construction industry. You can complete this training over four or five weekly sessions to help you manage your work commitments.
The qualification you gain is valid for five years and you’ll be required to retake a course to keep your qualification before your qualification expires. Sessions will run once per week over four or five consecutive weeks and the last session includes a multiple-choice exam.
