NRSWA Supervisors Reassessment Course

Course details

This two-day NRSWA supervisor reassessment course is designed for supervisors seeking to renew their NRSWA accreditation and maintain their NRSWA qualification in line with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991. It is essential for those involved in NRSWA streetworks supervision to ensure continued compliance and safety on the highways.​

Course Overview

Our NRSWA Supervisors Reassessment Course provides a comprehensive review of key competencies required for street works supervision. The course includes refresher training followed by assessments to evaluate the supervisor's knowledge and skills.

Course Content

The course covers the following units:​

• LA (old Unit1) - Location and avoidance of underground apparatus. (Supervisors and operatives)
• S1 (old Unit 10) - Monitoring Signing, lighting, and guarding.
• S2 (old Unit 11) - Monitoring Excavation in the highway.
• S3 (old Unit 12) - Monitoring Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials.
• S4 (old Unit 13) - Monitoring Reinstatement of sub-base and road base in non-bituminous materials.
• S5 (old Unit 14) - Monitoring Reinstatement in bituminous materials.
• S6 (old Unit 15) - Monitoring Reinstatement of concrete slabs.
• S7 (old Unit 16) - Monitoring Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways

Each unit includes a short refresher session followed by a touchscreen test. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required for each unit.​

Assessment

The Operatives assessment consists of theory-based questions on a touch screen tablet, 80% is needed to pass each unit.

Certificates

Upon successful completion, results are submitted to the awarding body. Delegates will receive a certificate and a renewed Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) card, valid for five years.​
